The upcoming Antigua Sailing Week is set to burnish the twin-island state’s credentials as a marquee yachting destination and is expected to wow both yachting aficionados and entertainment enthusiasts. The Government is pleased with the progress of work to complete the convention centre which will host next month's Fourth Conference on Small Island Developing States, SIDS-4. Prime Minister Hon. Gaston Browne led a team of officials on a tour of the work site Friday, which in a few weeks will be hosting thousands of delegates from across the world. Briana Anthony sought reactions from the Prime Minister.

Works Minister Hon. Maria Browne says the Public Works Department is upping the ante on road repairs in communities nationwide. The Minister tells ABS News cabinet has approved the purchase of more equipment to ensure this is possible. Briana Anthony reports.

LIAT 2020 is on track to take to the skies next month. That update comes from Information Minister, Hon. Melford Nicholas as the Antigua-based carrier expects to shortly receive the Air Operator’s Certificate. Garfield Burford reports.

Progress is being made to finalize the 17-member Antigua and Barbuda Falcons squad for the 2024 Caribbean Premier League. Chief Executive Officer Jeff Miller made the disclosure during ABS’ Sports 360 on Thursday. He disclosed West Indies players Brandon King and Fabian Allen have already been retained and the draft will be in July. Miller also explained that the Falcons, under the ownership of World Wide Sports, will have a year round presence and will help the development of cricket in the twin-island state.
